Feature Suggestion – Independent Transaction Password

Dear Phantom Team,
During my use of Phantom, I would like to suggest adding an optional alphanumeric payment password for transactions, instead of relying solely on biometric authentication (Fingerprint or Face ID). The reason is that if someone knows the device’s lock screen password, they could potentially bypass biometric verification, which may pose a security risk.
My proposal is to keep biometric authentication for app unlock, but allow users to optionally set an alphanumeric password to confirm each transaction. This would provide an extra layer of security for payments. Some wallets in the market already offer this feature.
I hope you will consider this suggestion, and I wish your team continued success!

The Phantom app would benefit significantly from the inclusion of a default transaction pin or passcode feature. This feature would provide an additional layer of security for users, preventing accidental transactions. I recently experienced the importance of this feature when I sent a coin to the wrong wallet address due to a distraction. Although I immediately realized my mistake after clicking "send," the transaction had already been initiated. To prevent similar errors, I recommend implementing the transaction pin or passcode feature as an optional setting for users. This addition would be particularly useful with the recent introduction of the Cash feature, which may involve more frequent transactions.

The core idea is to create a dedicated payment password, separate from the device lock screen, to verify transactions. Users could choose in the settings whether to enable this feature.
