Request for Phantom Crypto Wallet Safari Extension
dmrc
Phantom is a popular crypto wallet used by many decentralized application (dApp) users. However, there is currently no official Safari extension available for Phantom. This poses a significant inconvenience for Mac users who prefer to use the Safari browser and need to access dApps that require the Phantom wallet.
We request that the Phantom team develop and release an official Safari extension to provide a seamless user experience for Mac users interacting with dApps that integrate Phantom. The extension should mirror the functionality of the existing Phantom browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox and Edge, allowing users to securely manage their crypto assets, sign transactions, and connect their Phantom wallet to dApps directly from the Safari browser.
Benefits:
- Improved user experience for Mac users who prefer Safari
- Expanded accessibility of dApps that require the Phantom wallet
- Increased adoption of the Phantom crypto wallet among Safari users
- Parity with other major browser extensions offered by Phantom
We believe that providing a Phantom Safari extension will greatly benefit the crypto community and dApp developers by making the Phantom wallet more accessible to a wider range of users. We hope the Phantom team will consider this feature request and prioritize the development of a Safari extension. Thank you for your consideration.

Phantom safari extension including passkey
Olliver Unger
Description:
With Safari’s support for extensions on macOS and iOS, a Phantom Wallet Safari extension would enable seamless access to Solana and Ethereum-based DApps without requiring users to switch browsers. Currently, Safari users lack a native way to connect Phantom, making it inconvenient to interact with DeFi, NFTs, and other Web3 applications.
Purpose:
Safari Integration: Allow users to connect Phantom directly to DApps within Safari.
Passkey Support: Improve security and convenience with passkey authentication for logins and transactions.
Apple Ecosystem Compatibility: Provide a smooth experience across macOS and iOS.
Security & Privacy: Leverage Safari’s built-in privacy features while maintaining self-custody.
Extension/Mobile/Both:
Safari Extension (macOS & iOS) with passkey support for secure, passwordless authentication.
Next Steps:
Gather community interest through feedback and upvotes.
Assess feasibility with Apple’s extension framework.
Begin development to provide a seamless Web3 experience for Safari users.
